Press release: Campus BLÅ has offered the shareholders of Sikkerhetssenteret Rørvik (SSR) to join forces with them.

The ambition is to become a strong and solid course and service provider within education, courses and learning.

- First and foremost, this will mean that we will collaborate even more by joining forces. This means even better education and course offerings. Our intention is to keep the operational structures as they are today," says John Kenneth Selven, chairman of Campus BLÅ.

Campus BLÅ is in the process of building a business that will provide a good digital offering to the industry within relevant learning needs and a good offering within the course and certification activities that both Sikkerhetssenteret Rørvik (SSR) and Campus BLÅ offer today.

- If Norway is to be able to utilise all the opportunities that lie in the sea, we need to ensure that the fastest minds and the most skilled hands are recruited to blue education programmes and within marine and maritime industries. Our ambition is to bring together two fiercely committed communities and several generations of experience and knowledge into one joint force that invests across county borders and with the ambition to continue and add even more activity to SSR," says Selven.

Technically, the offer is for Campus BLÅ to buy the shares in Sikkerhetssenteret Rørvik AS with settlement in shares in Campus BLÅ AS or in cash. So far, agreements have been entered into with shareholders holding approximately 60 % of the shares in the company, and the vast majority have requested settlement in shares in Campus BLÅ AS.

The shareholders in SSR have until 20 March to respond to the request from Campus BLÅ.
