More names are ready for the Campus BLUE conference

Inspired by the sea

More names are ready for the Campus BLUE conference, also these are inspired of the sea.

The Ocean Conference is being organised for the third time, and we're looking forward to it: - This year we are focusing on sustainability, seafood trends, technology and expertise, and are offering great and exciting speakers.

Cheers for land-based aquaculture
In the far west of Norway, in the archipelago of Bulandet, there is a land-based fish farm that has been met with cheers and enthusiasm from the local population. "They are very happy about the activity and jobs," says CEO Knut Eikeland. He will be at the Campus BLÅ conference to tell us more about the pilot project.

Managing Director Knut Eikeland, Bue Salmon

Bulandet Miljøfisk, which has changed its name to Bue Salmon, started operations last year and has already supplied fish to Mowi and Landøy Fiskeoppdrett. Bue Salmon is now working on Batch 3, which in addition to supplying postsmolt, will also produce its first food fish. The aim is for the salmon to grow in as natural an environment as possible, so that the fish are trained to have good texture, muscle mass and fish health.

Torghatten Aqua is one of the largest owners of Bue Salmon, through its subsidiary Aquaculture Innovation. More about the pilot project and, not least, the plans for the future, at the conference.

Unique farming

CEO Helene Ravndal and R&D Manager Marianne Lorentzen, Fishbase Group

Dønna is home to the Fishbase Group, which has its own very special method of farming salmon. The company uses both RAS and flow-through technology. Almost 30 people work there, and two of them, R&D Manager Marianne Lorentzen and CEO Helene Ravndal, are coming to the Campus BLÅ conference to tell us more about the unique way they farm salmon.

Driven by passion

Managing Director Ronald Kvalø, NORRDE

We can safely call NORRDE a local success. The company was established in 2021 and has been growing at express speed ever since. Today, the company has 20 employees with more than 100 years of combined experience in land-based aquaculture. The company works with 3D printing and specialises in sustainable deliveries and consultancy to the aquaculture industry, especially land-based aquaculture. They describe themselves as a young and growing company, driven by passion and interest in the industry. Ronald Kvalø is the CEO of Norrde, and at the Campus BLÅ conference there will hopefully be both emotions and facts about the company.

Seafood trends and sustainability
The CEO of the Norwegian Seafood Council, Christian Chramer, is already scheduled to talk about seafood trends in the world, while father and daughter Kato and Kristin Fredriksen from Vega Delikatesser will address the more local perspective. From Gratanglaks, social contact Monica Eide-Hermansen will explain why Gratanglaks takes sustainability very seriously and what they do.
