Torghatten Aqua has so far raised NOK 53.4 million through its crowdfunding campaign with Folkeinvest, beating the previous record of NOK 34 million set in November 2021 by the simulator-based driving school Way. The campaign, which has two weeks left to run, has a maximum target of NOK 80 million, but the company is emphasising the number of local shareholders it can attract rather than reaching the highest possible total.

- "The most important thing for us is that those in the local community who want to become shareholders are given the opportunity to do so, and that they become as many as possible. Whether we end up with NOK 60 or 80 million is not so important," says CEO Paul Birger Torgnes.
